Training - Canoe

Updated: Oct 29

I took Georgia and Tom out onto the water on the 23/11/20 and 26/11/20 and covered a multitude of canoe skills (mainly solo). We carried out a mainly dry day to begin with, practising both static and on the move skills, before spending considerable time on different types of rescues. This involved 'reach, throw, go' and a lot of emphasis on the X rescue in order to prepare them for playing a major part in sessions, and eventually running their own. Ellen H
